William is pathologically curious.
He sees creativity and rigor as strange bedfellows. Using a first principles approach, William breaks down complex and opaque problems into bite sized opportunities for exploration. He has applied this approach in manufacturing, industrial robotics, marine unmanned systems, auto racing and product design. When William is not in the office or the machine shop, he is at the climbing gym, or eating Tartine bread, or both.
William earned a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech (go Hokies!). He worked at Flexicell, Marine Advanced Research, and Plethora before joining Cooper Perkins.
