Stu likes to Build.

“Art challenges technology, but technology inspires the art.” – John Lasseter.

Stu constantly explores the realm where art and technology coincide. He does this by keeping his hands busy and his mind active. From doodling in sketchbooks to designing, building and programming kinetic sculptures moving thousands of motors in a synchronized fashion, he is ceaselessly creating.

After earning a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Wayne State University and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from MIT,  Stu walked across the river to see what the Museum of Fine Arts School had to offer. Prior to joining Cooper Perkins, Stu worked for MIT Lincoln Lab, MicroE Systems and as a self-employed artist creating sculptures for public spaces.
