Ann thinks big.
Ann’s path towards engineering began in high school physics, where she quickly became aware of her affinity for building, making, and all things hands-on. At MIT, her concerns of becoming a “nerd” were quickly dissipated as she found herself creating applications for the tangible world, as opposed to writing equations. Initially focused in robotics, her excitement in designing for non-technical users led her into product design. Ann is a doer, with a tendency towards experimentation and implementation versus purely theoretical approaches. Consulting is Ann’s playground; she thrives in the variety of projects and the opportunity to become a quick expert on new topics.
Ann joins Cooper Perkins as VP of Engineering from our San Francisco office after earning a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University. She has worked for a variety of companies including IDEO, Immersion Corporation, MindTribe, PowerLight Corporation, Function Engineering, Apple, and Polyera Corporation.
